Eugenie founded We Are What We Do with David Robinson and now sits on the Board of Directors.
Eugenie studied mass communications at the University of Technology, Sydney. She spent the first eight years of her career working in a range of communications roles in her native Australia, firstly for the Sydney Theatre Company where she spent 5 years working in PR, marketing and sponsorship and then for Rupert Murduch's pay television start up FOXTEL where she held the dual roles of Corporate PR Manager and Unit Publicist for the network's flagship programme LAWS.
As she approached her 30th birthday, she decided to leave Australia for England where she hoped to use her skills to do help others. But what? And how?
After stints working in London for the Australian Tourist Commission and in financial PR for the Brunswick Group, a chance encounter in 2002 with David Robinson, a community worker and founder of the east London charity Community Links, led her to quit her career to join David and a small group of supporters to develop We Are What We Do.
Since the organization was launched in 2004 by the then Chancellor, Gordon Brown, Eugenie has managed a range of projects including the books, Change the World for a Fiver (2004) and Change the World 9 to 5 (2006) and a collaboration with Anya Hindmarch to create the iconic "I'm not a plastic bag" shopper (2007). She has developed relationships with companies including Sainsbury's and Virgin Atlantic as well as the DCSF which continues to support the organisation's education programme.
Eugenie has been named among the FT's Creative Business top 50, was featured in the book, Everyday Legends and is a highly sought after speaker, sharing the extraordinary stories behind the development of We Are What We Do.
Eugenie is married and has an 8 year old daughter, Cara. She lives in a village in Essex.
