How we did the maths

One for the workplace: Ask the people in finance about giving to a charity through your monthly pay packet. Admit it- you've always wanted an excuse to go up and talk to that strangely attractive person who joined a few months ago. Tell them you want to opt on to a payroll giving scheme. If you do this, they're gonna be thinking 1) you're a nice person, 2) you're good at maths, and 3) you're earning enough money to be able to be generous. That's not a bad first impression. Hell, we even fancy you a bit.

FYI: A monthly £10 payroll donation could cost as little as £6.

    I wish the NSPCC wasn't necessary ..

.. but sadly it is, so help them. £10 nowadays is less than a takeaway, so dump one takeaway treat and eat in and think how your £10 could be helping a new life have a better start in THIS country. 01 June 2010, 11:28
