You can anything you set your mind to!
Well as I said I LOVE horses so this might sound quite predictable but here it is anyway...For the first time ever a couple of weeks ago I rode a horse(strange!lol!)wait for it...Bareback!
It may sound quite perthetic but It's still an acheivement and I've learn't that I should never try it again because of the pain it cost me!
Still it's good to at least try something new even if you think it looks or sounds imposible-you can do anything when you put your mind to it!
making things
I made a felt animal that I hand sewed and some clay models. they are a bit (ok a lot) rough around the edges but I damn well did them myself!! 10 January 2010, 12:58The CAFOD video :D

i ran amile and a half in 9 mintues go me , i goign to take over the world 17 November 2009, 12:43I did another thing!
Something else that I just remembered was how scared I was when I had to audition for a part in a musical, but with the encouragment of my friends and teachers I did it and realised... it wasn't as bad as I thought afterall. :) 29 October 2009, 19:19I did it!
I went to Auschwitz on a history project trip thing and I was really worried and scared before I went that I wouldn't be able to do it and that I wasn't prepared enough, I even thought about not taking the place that was offered to me but I did it! I was stronger than I thought and was really proud of myself afterwards. 29 October 2009, 19:17I DID IT!!!!!!
I had to make a little speech to all the staff at school, and to say i was nervous was a HUGE understatement!! but all i can remember thinking is, i can do this. and to my surprise it actually went really well, (even if they did look at me as if i was talking gibberish!!) and they all agreed. And members of staff have been coming up to me and saying "well done" which has made me realise that i can do it!! and now i no longer avoid it, by using the excuse that i have a sore throat! haaaa :) 18 October 2009, 16:20Sleep in train
Sleep in train 24 September 2009, 08:44Never been able to manage it before, but last night...
I reversed around a corner! 24 July 2009, 10:37I did something I didn't think I could do... and my judgement was revealed to be eerily accurate.
Basically, we all visited the ice rink with school. I have only ever been ice-skating once previously in my life, and that experience generated a lot of sleepless nights. However, I thought I'd throw caution to the wind (in fact, maybe the throwing motion was part of my subsequent problem) and try ice skating again, because I didn't think I could do it, and I wanted to, as our school WeAreWhatWeDo campaign pledge states; "Seize the Moment" (That's Action 28, Boffins). So, I got onto the ice in my rented skates, and, like Bambi at the start of, well, Bambi, I immediately started flailing about like an idiot. This continued for an hour. Accompanied by some horrific falls. But you know what? I kept getting back up, because Ice Skating isn't something I do every day, and other people who were having similar (but by no means as severe) problems tried all the harder too. I had a laugh, I learned something about myself, and I think everyone else's day was improved by the fact I was trying something that I didn't think I could do. I was proven right, but as they say, it's not the destination, it's the journey. 09 July 2009, 19:53Seize the moment film

The Suffolk Punch is the smallest type of Shire Horse. Sadly they are slowly falling in numbers. If you have a badge machine, make it into a good use. Sell badges supporting the charity and collect money, or maybe do a sponsored run. Then give all the money to the charity, and you'll feel much better about everything because you've made a difference!!!! 05 January 2009, 15:34Helping People Abroad
http://www.abroaderview.org A Broader View Volunteers was founded by Sarah and Oliver Ehlers, after a trip to Chile, South America. While there, they saw the overwhelming need of the children and incredible difference volunteers made in helping a local orphanage. After returning home to the USA and researching different service organizations, they were stunned at how costly and restrictive many volunteering programs are. They decided to create an affordable, safe and worthy program so that anyone who wished to travel and volunteer - could easily afford to do so. Oliver Ehlers was born and raised in Chile, South America. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration and Tourism. He has extensive experience in Business Development, Marketing and sat on the faculty of Economy & Business at the University of La Serena, Chile. He has traveled extensive throughout South and Central America, and spent time living abroad in Denmark and Spain. http://www.abroaderview.org Sarah Ehlers was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA USA. She holds a degree in Hospitality Management and Business. She worked eleven years in the area of travel management, focusing on coordinating international programs for the US market. She has traveled extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Through their travels and backgrounds in Hospitality Management, Tourism, and Business, they have created an outstanding yet affordable program which offers the traveler the experience of their lifetime -- volunteering abroad and making a difference in the world. http://www.abroaderview.org 29 December 2008, 12:32Yep, I can officially drive! Just to share, because I have an eye defect since I was born (my right eye does not have any vision), my parents were really careful not to put me in situations where my life hangs on visual acuity. Hence, I was not really sponsored for driving lessons, and whenever I raised discussion on driving it's always shot down, and I completely understand where my parents are coming from, eventhough I disagree :)! If you are born with a vision on both eyes and I was born with one, you can't really tell me having two eyes are much better. I feel completely comfortable with my one eye and how can I really know two eyes are much better except by theory? And so around 2nd quarter of this year, I asked myself, why not, why the hell not. I'll be careful (I know I will be!), and they say it just takes guts and so I did it.
I'm proud that I can drive now and in fact I have conquered the busiest road already in Manila, one of the national roads that's dangerous because of illegal manuevering of buses in every lane and because it's always teeming with sharks, if you know what I mean. I look at it now and I am amazed at what I can achieve -- that busiest road is in fact my daily route to the office. I'm glad I have taken the dare because it does empower me that I can do anything if I set my heart to it.
I still commute though, after all, we're still for saving the environment :) 25 November 2007, 00:00
